Welcome to Custom Care Nursing!
My compassion accompanied with extensive managerial, financial and health services experience have enabled me to establish both Support Link (2008) and subsequently Custom Care Nursing (2012).
I was born in Upper Hutt, New Zealand, moving to Hawke's Bay to be located centrally in 2008.
Treating every situation as unique, considering whanau and the individual Client makes Custom Care Nursing stand out from the rest.
Communication is key, we are all whanau, we make every attempt to provide a client focused team that listens. I take pride in a fantastic family orientated team of professionals, we are liaising with our front line staff daily, our Regional Coordinators working in every region of NZ ensure they individually know community clients by name, not number.
As we continue to expand annually my job is to ensure we are remaining client focused, ensuring enough staff are on the ground in the regions you need them.
I have a hands on approach, I have regular oversight of each region, great management reporting from my teams and expect any potential issues are identified prior to them happening.
Our 0508 687737 freephone is for clients to immediately interact with our management team.
In my leisure time I love spending times with my family and our ponies.

Kia Ora, I'm Sam and I have been in the healthcare industry since 2011 working as an emergency ambulance officer in Wellington and more recently as a paramedic in the private sector in Hawke’s Bay. This has given me the honour of working with the same types of clients who employ the services of Custom Care Nursing. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) and continue to maintain my authority as a Registered Paramedic.
I have had extensive experience helping people at their sudden moment of need and I am excited to have the privilege to now help with the longer term support for people in the community.
Outside of work I enjoy family time and exercise, with my border collie not giving me a choice in that!

Kia Ora,
I have over 25 years’ experience in the health and disability sector both in Australia and New Zealand, joining CCN in 2022 from my position as an Advocate for Hawkes Bay Health and Disability where I networked and educated the community on their rights and expectations from a service provider, so I have a passion for providing quality services that meet the client needs.
My focus is on excellent care delivery, ensuring policies and procedures are current and effective to deliver services that are client focused. It is vital that clients and whanau are actively involved in their care.
I research opportunities where I feel CCN can make a difference in the outcome for communities throughout New Zealand.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, gardening, going for a casual walk and small renovation projects.

I enjoy Custom Care Nursing’s fast paced environment and I like to think we make a positive difference in people’s lives – both staff and Clients!
In my spare time I love to get together with friends, watch rugby, go to concerts and ride my horse! I love animals and I love to travel.

Coordination Manager

Hi, I’m Courtney and I joined Custom Care Nursing early February 2019.
My nana and mum have worked in rest homes, and growing up I have seen how much of an impact they made to people’s lives and how much they appreciated their help. Everyone was treated like family and that made me realise I’d love to make a positive impact on people’s lives just like my mum and nana did.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to work for this amazing family orientated company. I am loving my role as every day is different and I get to interact with a number of different people. I like talking to our coordinators and figuring out ways to help make their day a bit easier so they can help provide the best service to their Clients while looking after their amazing Support Workers.
I am very family orientated. I love spending time with my family especially my niece and nephews.

Return to Independence Manager

Kia Ora, I'm Ra, the Return to Independence (RTI) Manager at Custom Care Nursing. My role is to support our Regional Service Coordinators nationwide in managing their RTI clients.
I have worked in the healthcare industry since 2001. I started with Custom Care Nursing as a Support Worker in 2017, not long into this role I became the Return to Independence Coordinator for Auckland.
Prior to Custom Care Nursing I have had roles as House Leader, Acting Coordinator and as a Support Worker so I feel I can really put myself in our Support Workers shoes. While I was working, I studied part time at Unitec where I did my Diploma in Business and Management.
Since joining CCN I have learnt different strategies to ensure my team is working efficiently and within the company and industry policies and procedures, including meeting new Clients and staff, participating in the Client’s meetings and cares, and team building at Head Office.
In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, gardening, spending time with family and friends and watching movies on Netflix.

Hi, I’m Kim. I live on a farm on the outskirts of Napier with my husband. I have a Bachelor of Business Studies, majoring in Accounting, with over 15 years’ experience of working in the finance field.
I’ve been part of the Custom Care Nursing team since April 2015, when my two children both attended secondary school. My initial role was in Quality and Audit which I found to be a nice change from finance.
Since I started with Custom Care Nursing I have seen major growth in the company, allowing me to gain knowledge in many different areas of the business.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, reading, travelling, and spending time with my family.
